In order to prepare you FOR an onsite service, we have put together the following page of FAQs.
Do I have to book?
No. Bookings are not required. Please sanitise hands on entry to building. Anyone with symptoms of Covid 19 should not attend.
Can I help?
Absolutely yes. We need folk to welcome people and make sure that they are safe when visiting. We also need someone to give access to others for car parking. If you can help please email naomi@stlreading.org
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
A mask. Masks are to be worn when entering and walking around the building, but can be removed when seated (unless exempt)
A Bible. We can not provide Bibles at this point, so please bring your own if you would like to refer to one.
WILL YOU KEEP ME SAFE?
Yes. We have followed all the Government and Church of England guidelines and have risk assessed the event. We ask that you follow all of the advice, and we will do our best to keep you safe.
There are hand sanitiser stations throughout the building.
We have a QR code for the NHS Track & Trace app.
Can CHILDREN ATTEND?
Yes. However, we cannot currently offer onsite provision for children, such as groups or crèche. This means all children are more than welcome to join us for any of the onsite gatherings. Social distancing is to remain at 2m. We recognise that it will not be possible, nor desirable, to restrict movement of children who attend. We therefore ask that all are considerate and flexible of the inevitable movement and engagement of children.
We know that this feels difficult, and we are considering other options to create provision for children and young families.
Can I use the toilet?
Yes. The toilets will be open, but ask that you use them only when absolutely necessary.
can I sing?
Yes. Singing is allowed. We are keen to enable congregational sung worship. However, given the poor ventilation of the church building and the heightened spread of particulates; during singing, we want to apply some caution here. We therefore ask that anyone singing wears a mask to do so (unless you are exempt).
can I socialise?
Social distancing is to remain at 2m, please refrain from physical interaction. Not all will be equally comfortable at this time. No refreshments will be served in the building. Our gatherings will continue to move outside at the end of services where refreshments can be sourced if wanted.
